What’s keeping us busy before the second round of invitations

Oct 12, 2011

The last four days have been the first ones that zendone lives with real users. We have received very valuable feedback, as well as a lot of praise that gives us a lot of energy for keeping working hard on zendone.

We said that we will start the next round early this week. We were wrong. It will be late this week. We have to tune some aspects of zendone so it performs better, specially for a high number of users and also for users with a high number of actions. We have also detected some bugs we want to solve before taking more users.

We are sorry for the delay. We hate being wrong about estimations. We know there are a lot of people waiting patiently for their invitation and this won’t help. But believe us, you will have a better experience with zendone after this delay.

There have been a number of people that have sent us thorough reviews about zendone, about what problems they have or what things they would like to see implemented in the future. We are incredibly thankful for that. Before the next round, we will have a community site up, so we can organize and discuss this feedback with the community. But until then, please know that we take note of everything you send us.

After the next round of invitations, we will continue by addressing that obvious functionally that is still not there, such as attaching new/existing evernote notes to actions, dragging actions to the projects list, changing the area of responsibility of an action, a proper Trash, working better with smaller resolutions…

Thanks for your patience!

I’m waiting for that moment! Don’t warry about estimations, they are that, estimations, not forecasts! Thanks for hard working!

Hi guys. Great work with Zendone so far. I love it!

Can you please consider REPEATED tasks? This is a very common type of tasks and right now I have to use native Google Calendar for repeated tasks, and that kind of destroys the work flow.

Another suggestion is that once actions are completed, they should be deleted from Google Calendar. Why would i want to look at them in my Calendar when they are gone?

    Great work and good communication!

    Cheers

Great work so far. If the final product is anything like what we’ve seen in the videos, it will be well worth the wait!

I’ve also been impressed by your regular and thoughtful communication with us, your current and prospective users. While a delay in receiving an invitation is certainly not fun, I get the impression that you genuinely care about the product, and ultimately, users’ experience with the product.

Bravo on all the hard work so far! Looking forward to writing a review of Zendone!
